At Catley Furniture, restoration isn’t just a side offering — it’s a natural extension of the same craftsmanship that goes into our bespoke furniture.
Brendon has been working with timber for over 20 years, restoring everything from mid-century dining tables to heirloom dressers. He approaches every restoration as if it were his own piece — carefully assessing what needs to be repaired, preserved, or enhanced.
Whether it's a treasured family table that's seen better days, or a secondhand gem needing a new lease on life, Brendon works with care, skill, and attention to detail that only comes with decades of experience.
What We Restore:
Solid timber dining tables
Coffee tables and sideboards
Chairs (repairs only, not reupholstery)
Antique and mid-century furniture
Light refinishing and re-oiling
Note: We specialise in timber furniture. We don’t currently offer upholstery or repair of mass-produced particleboard pieces.
Our Process:
Every piece starts with a conversation. Send us a photo and a short description of the item and what you’re hoping to have done. Brendon will review it and let you know if it’s a good fit for restoration, along with a rough estimate.
If it’s a go, we’ll organise a time for you to drop the piece off at our Tauranga workshop or arrange a suitable time for collection.

Insurance Restoration Work
Brendon is also available for insurance-related restoration, whether it’s water-damaged timber, fire-affected pieces, or items damaged during a move. He’s worked with both homeowners and insurers to restore furniture to its former condition, wherever possible.
